Debits Tax Bill 2001

Long Title

The purpose of this Bill is to impose a tax on certain debits made to accounts kept with financial institutions. This Bill will replace the existing Debits Tax Act 1990. The repeal and, where relevant, the saving of the Debits Tax Act 1990 can be found in the Taxation Administration (Consequential Provisions) Bill 2001.

Status

Assented to 03/20/2003
Royal Assent given 20 Mar 2003 as Act No. 49 of 2002. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
