Long Title
The purpose of this Bill is to implement the enforcement component of the road trauma prevention package. It includes amending the fines for drink driving offences, for example by introducing graduated monetary penalties for .05 offences and introducing a minimum period of three months licence disqualification. Other areas addressed by the Bill include - the ability of the Commissioner for Police to delegate the appointment of speed camera operators to senior officers within the Police Service; the removal of the half annual licence fee for the non-return of number plates; repeal of the prohibition from advertising car-pooling arrangements; repeal of the offence of car watching.
