Long Title | The purpose of this Bill is to validate past actions undertaken by Commonwealth officers or authorities under certain State laws relating to various cooperative schemes. It deals with doubts cast by the decision in Hughes on the ability of Commonwealth authorities or officers to exercise powers and perform functions under State laws in relation to the following inter-governmental legislative schemes: the co-operative scheme for agricultural and veterinary chemicals, or
any other co-operative scheme to which the proposed Act is applied by proclamation. |
Status | Assented to 12/21/2001 Royal Assent given 21 Dec 2001 as Act No. 31 of 2001. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts) |
