Position Title:Security Team Leader
Level and Salary:Level 3 ($72,896 - $78,717 per annum) + superannuation
(Anticipated increase to $79,156 - $84,977 following General Agreement registration)

Primary Responsibilities and Additional Information:The Parliamentary Services Department is seeking an experienced Security Team Leader to join the Security and Reception Services team in maintaining the safety and security of all Members of Parliament, employees and visitors at the Parliament of Western Australia.

To be successful, you will have strong supervisory skills and experience working in a security related field. Well-developed public relations skills with an ability to effectively deal with people at all levels and diverse backgrounds are essential.

You will support the Security Operations Manager in leading a team of Security Officers to provide vigilant security to the Parliamentary Reserve and annexes and providing a positive first impression of the Parliament to visitors. The Security team is responsible for the protection of property within the parliamentary precinct including the secure processing of mail, and ensuring personnel safety is a priority. Your responsibilities will include supervising: security staff, screening room, patrols, and responding to requests and concerns in a professional manner. Work outside of normal hours in the evening will be required when Parliament is sitting.
