MUNDIJONG ROAD EXTENSION— CLEARANCE
PRINCIPLES
89. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the minister representing the
Minister for Environment:
I refer to the proposed extension of Mundijong Road between
the Kwinana Freeway and Dixon Road.
(1) How many
of the clearing principles outlined in the Environmental Protection Amendment
Act 2003 is the project at variance or potentially at variance with?
(2) How many
hectares of the following suitable habitats would be cleared by the proposed
alignment —
(a) black cockatoo habitat;
(b) quenda habitat; and
(c) black glove wallaby habitat?
(3) How many
hectares of the following suitable habitats would be cleared by the previously
proposed alignment —
(a) black cockatoo habitat;
(b) quenda habitat; and
(c) black glove wallaby habitat?
(4) How many trees along the proposed alignment are suitable
black cockatoo breeding habitats?

I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1) Three clearing principles are at variance and three
clearing principles may be at variance.
(2) Not more than 11.11 hectares.
(3) Not more than 19.11 hectares.
(4) No specific trees are known to provide breeding hollows
for black cockatoos.
