Hon

I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1) Keep
Australia Beautiful Council (WA) is a statutory authority established under the
Litter Act 1979. It is provided with financial and administrative support by
the Department of Environment and Conservation.
(2) The
efficiency dividend and corrective measures apply across public sector
agencies, including Keep Australia Beautiful Council.
(3)–(4) Keep
Australia Beautiful Council proposed an information and education campaign to
raise awareness about littering and increased penalties, including paid
advertising. This is being considered as part of government advertising
approvals processes.
