PERTH FREIGHT LINK — AECOM
805. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) Is AECOM,
which partnered with Main Roads as South Metro Connect, still involved in
developing the Roe 8 and/or Perth Freight Link project; and, if so, in what
capacity?
(2) If no to (1), on what date did AECOM's
involvement end?
(3) Is it
possible that an amendment to the metropolitan region scheme will be required
to enable section 2 of the Perth Freight Link to be built?
Hon
JIM CHOWN replied:
I thank the member for some notice of this question.
(1)–(2)
Project development for Roe 8 was largely completed in 2012. Subsequent to
this, AECOM has intermittently provided minor support services related to the
project. These services were completed in early 2015. AECOM is a member of one
of the proponent consortia invited to participate in the requests for proposals
phase of the Perth Freight Link project.
