Question On Notice No. 6082 asked in the Legislative Assembly on 31 March 2020 by Mr A. Krsticevic
Question Directed to the: Minister for Housing
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
Question
How many additional Government Regional Officers’ Housing properties are estimated to be required for each of the next three years, including a breakdown by:
(a) regional area; and
(b) government department/agency requiring the property?
Answered on 12 May 2020
(a) – (b) Government agencies that require Government Regional Officer Housing (GROH) for regional employees submit annual requests to the Department of Communities outlining anticipated annual need.
The GROH program also accommodates the fluid nature of staff movement and the consequential effect on accommodation needs, by accepting ad hoc requests for GROH properties throughout the year.
As the GROH requirements of agencies continually change to reflect local demand, agencies generally do not undertake future demand projections beyond the next year.
