FORESTRY — BARRABUP FOREST — LOGGING
      745. Hon DIANE EVERS to the minister representing the Minister for Forestry:
I refer to question without notice 301, answered on 27 June, and question on notice 274, answered on 12 September 2017.
      (1) Did the size of the proposed harvest area, or its design, change between June and September; and; if yes, will the minister please give details, including any change in size in hectares, and maps showing any design changes?
      (2) Has an on-ground survey to look for sites of cultural and archaeological significance in the area to be disturbed been completed?
(3) In relation to (2), will the minister please name the consultancy that conducted the survey?
      (4) If yes to (2), will the minister please table the report; and, if not, will he state its title and publication date?
      (5) What were the agreed prices per volume or tonnage for each of the following jarrah products in the last Forest Products Commission tender —
      (a) sawlogs;
      (b) firewood logs;
      (c) char logs or charcoal logs; and
      (d) residue products?
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:
I thank the member for the question. The following information has been provided to me by the Minister for Forestry.
(1) No.
(2) Yes.
(3) It was Gavin Jackson Cultural Resource Management.
      (4) I am unable to table this report as it is the intellectual property of the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council. The title of the report is ''A report of the Aboriginal archaeological and ethnographic survey of the Forest Products Commission Barrabup 0317 Harvest Coupe Survey Area, Western Australia''.
(5) (a)–(b) Refer to question on notice 274 of 12 September 2017.
          (c) Charcoal logs were not sold in the last Forest Products Commission tender. The current stumpage prices for charcoal logs are: debarked green charcoal, $17.92 a tonne; bark green charcoal, $17.92 a tonne; and dry charcoal log, $20.63 a tonne.
      (d) It is $9.50 to $28 a tonne for bole residue logs.
