Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 680 asked in the Legislative Council on 19 September 2012 by Hon Lynn Maclaren

Parliament: 38 Session: 1

WATERFRONT, CITY LINK AND RIVERSIDE PROJECTS

680. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the minister representing the Minister for Heritage:

(1) How much did the conservation plans and heritage interpretation strategies cost in relation to the following projects —

(a) The Waterfront;

(b) City Link; and

(c) Riverside?

(2) How much of the Esplanade budget has been put aside for heritage interpretation?

(3) How do these amounts compare with the $1.5 million the government will spend, in addition to the $277 000 already spent, on information advertisements for infrastructure projects?

Hon ROBYN McSWEENEY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question.

(1)–(3) The State Heritage Office did not commission the conservation plans or heritage interpretation strategies for the Waterfront, City Link or Riverside projects, nor does it have a role in budgets for these projects. The questions should be directed to the Minister for Planning.
