SOUTH METROPOLITAN REGION — REGIONAL PARK ZONING
139. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the minister representing the Minister for Planning:
(1) How many regional parks are in the South Metropolitan Region electorate?
(2) How many of these regional parks are partly or entirely zoned as road reserves in the metropolitan region scheme?
(3) How many of these regional parks have roads planned to run through them?
(4) How many hectares of high-quality remnant vegetation are currently zoned as road reserves in the metropolitan region scheme?
(5) Is the minister aware that there are only five areas of high-quality remnant vegetation over 164 hectares remaining in the South Metropolitan Region and that three of these are directly threatened by planned roads or urbanisation?

(1) Four: Woodman Point Regional Park, Beeliar Regional Park, a portion of Jandakot Regional Park and Rockingham Lakes Regional Park.
(2) None.
(3) One: Beeliar—Roe Highway stage 8.
