POULTRY LITTER-FIRED POWER STATION

203. Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Planning and Infrastructure:

(1) How many times has the minister met, or held discussions with, the proponents of the poultry litter-fired power station?

(2) How many times has the minister met, or held discussions with, the Muchea Progress Association incinerator information committee, which is opposed to the proposal?

(3) On what basis did the minister act to -


    (a) override the council when it refused the proposal; or

    (b) insist that the council amend its town planning scheme to the benefit of the project?


(4) Has the minister been advised of the estimated amount of additional water needed per annum if the agriculturalists do not use the poultry litter on their crops?
