FOREST PRODUCTS COMMISSION — MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

Minister for Forestry:
(1) Was there
a memorandum of understanding between the Forest Products Commission and the
Department of Environment and Conservation?
(2) If yes to (1), will the minister please table it?
(3) Is there a
similar MOU between the Forest Products Commission and the Department of Parks
and Wildlife?
(4) If yes to (3), will the minister please table it?
(5) If no to (3), will one be prepared; and, if so, when?

I thank the member for some notice of the question.

Yes. This memorandum of understanding was executed on 2 March 2001 and remains
in force today between the Forest Products Commission and the Department of
Parks and Wildlife. This document has already been tabled on 26 June 2001, in
accordance with section 10(7) of the Forest Products Act 2000 and section 33(9)
of the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984. It is tabled paper 326.
