The main purpose of this Bill is to introduce fixed election dates being the third Saturday of February every four years. The Bill also includes clarification of the qualifications for nominating as a candidate, minor revision of the counting method for the Legislative Council, simplified early voting procedures, increased voting rights for prisoners and general provisions that improve electoral administration. |
