| Synopsis | The purpose of this bill is to amend the Bush Fires Act 1954, the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1988 and the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 to provide a rebuttable presumption for volunteer firefighters, state-employed firefighters, and former career firefighters who contract one of 12 prescribed cancers. It facilitates access to compensation for these personnel under the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 or the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1998. |
