Long Title | The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Coroners Act 1996 and the Evidence Act 1906 to provide for the Attorney General, on the recommendation of the State Coroner, to appoint a person to be a coroner for a specific period and on terms as speciified in the appointment. Further, the Bill provides for a number of amendments emanating from the review of the Coroners Act and those subsequently identified by the State Coroner. |
Status | Assented to 04/17/2003 Royal Assent given 17 Apr 2003 as Act No. 15 of 2003. Different sections of this Act come into operation on Royal Assent and Proclamation. For details refer to Commencement Clause of the Bill (see also Assent and Commencement information for Acts) |
